Students spend several weeks living, working and experiencing a remote community. You will have the opportunity to work with the young people of Mt Magnet in school and shire programs, as well as families through ‘Bidi Bidi’ - a local child and maternal organisation.
You will work with and learn about the services accessible to the community and the issues that face health delivery and outcomes in this remote environment. You will complete a cultural program titled “Understanding Yamatji” and have the opportunity to put your cultural awareness learning into practice.
This experience focuses on how your professional skills and role apply in a remote community.
