The WA Centre for Rural Health Pilbara team were proud to be part of the KDCCI Annual Careers Expo, connecting with over 1,000 students from Karratha and surrounding areas to showcase the exciting opportunities in rural healthcare.

A highlight was The University of Western Australia Virtual Reality (VR) goggles, allowing students to explore immersive healthcare assessment in a virtual clinic. The experience sparked interest and gave attendees a glimpse into the changes in education and training for health professionals.

Our team was on hand to:

  • Share insights into careers in nursing and allied health
  • Answer questions about rural health pathways
  • Inspire the next generation of health professionals
