Congratulations to our Senior Lecturer Aasta Abbott (Speech Pathology) who was awarded a Graduate Certificate in the Assessment and Diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) from the The University of Western Australia School of Psychology.

FASD assessment is an interprofessional and multidisciplinary process, involving medical, psychological, language, and motor skills assessments.

With this qualification, and as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, Aasta can case manage, contribute to clinical assessment, case formulation, and diagnostic report writing for the assessment and diagnosis of FASD in both children and adults.

Aasta was supported by the WA Centre for Rural Health to attend her graduation in July this year.
