Congratulations to Rosalie Gent, winner of the Young Professional of the Year at the WA Rural Health Excellence Awards 2026.
In just her second year of practice, Rosalie has significantly strengthened speech pathology services in the Goldfields. Her work includes redesigning service systems, introducing effective triage processes, and delivering family centred care. Through clinic based, school, and home outreach, she has improved access and outcomes for children with complex communication and developmental needs.
During her final year of university study in 2023, Rosalie completed an extended, semester long rural placement with the WA Centre for Rural Health in the Midwest which laid strong foundations for the impactful work she continues today in the regions.
