Student Accommodation

To assist students in accessing our rural placements, the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) owns several fully furnished shared accommodation options for students participating in WACRH placement programs in the Midwest, Gascoyne and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.

Midwest Accommodation

Midwest accommodation is located in Geraldton, Mullewa, Mount Magnet and Carnarvon close to placement sites. Costs are subsidised for our students. For more information on Midwest accommodation email admin-wacrh@uwa.edu.au.

What do you need to bring?
All student accommodation with WACRH is fully equipped with basic necessities, such as: furniture, kitchen equipment, TV and vacuum. Students are responsible for supplying consumables, such as: washing products, bin bags, dishwashing liquid, cleaning cloths, toilet paper, cleaning products and food. Please check if you are required to bring your own linen by reviewing our information.
  
Personal belongings
Students are required to ensure their personal belongings are stored safely. WACRH will not accept liability for theft or damage of personal items.
  
Student Accommodation Policy

All students staying in WACRH student accommodation are required to sign and abide by WACRH’s Accommodation Policy rules and regulations prior to moving in. A folder containing accommodation expectations and policies, maps of the surrounding areas, tourist and entertainment information is placed in each unit.

  
Internet (WIFI)
All student accommodation is equipped with WIFI at no cost. A password will be provided to students upon their arrival. Students are bound by a Computer and Software Use Policy whilst using our WIFI.
  
Cleaning
Students are responsible for cleaning the accommodation whilst staying with us. This includes general cleaning duties: emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
  
Maintenance issues
Maintenance is not the responsibility of the student. All maintenance issues must be reported to email maintenance-wacrh@uwa.edu.au
